Thoughts behind the work:

When I sat down to create this work, I wanted to make something that reflected myself—how I have always stood out from other people’s hobbies and dreams. I have always tried to fit in, and I have succeeded, but what I truly want is far from the “normal” path that others take. Misfit shows a person among many other faces that are all alike.
